Knollwood-Donnybrook
Improvement Association (KDIA) was organized in 1954 to ensure that our
community continues to be a desirable place to live. The association
works for the benefit of all residents as defined in the By-Laws (See
the By-Laws section).
KDIA is committed to maintaining a safe community with an active
Citizens On Patrol (COP) program, which we urge you to join (please
see details on the Citizen On Patrol page). The board also works with
county authorities, local institutions and neighboring associations on
issues affecting our community. The board endeavors to keep fellow
residents informed about events in and around our community with a
quarterly newsletter, event fliers and email alerts.
Supported by your annual dues and donations, the
association sponsors social and community events for neighbors of
all ages: an annual picnic, community yard sale, dumpster day, Halloween
party, holiday street decorations, a fire-truck Santa event, an adult
cheese and wine party and an annual meeting. (See
Calendar of Events section.) In addition, the board maintains the
beautiful median strip on Knollwood Road, publishes the newsletter and
maintains a website.
The
KD Board of Directors is made up of sixteen residents, each one
representing an area within our community as shown on the map. The board
meets on the third Tuesday of each month, and residents are invited to
share ideas or concerns either at the monthly meetings or by contacting
their area representative, or the current president. Your participation
on the board and at KD events is welcomed and encouraged. Please contact
me or any board member for details.
On behalf of the KDIA Board of Directors, thank you for supporting your
community association and its programs with your annual membership,
donations and volunteer time. Your participation keeps our neighborhood
vibrant, attractive, safe and neighborly.
